Originally launched as the “Bombardier Continental”, the Challenger 300 is a clean sheet designed, super mid-size transcontinental jet, developed to fill the gap between the Lear 60 and Challenger 601-3A. The cabin features two separate temperature zones, and shares the same length and height as the popular Challenger 604 (but is a foot narrower). Typical interior configurations can be found with double club or divan/club combination seating.
Production began in 2001, and continued until 2014 with a total of 457 aircraft produced over a thirteen year run. The Collins Pro Line 21 is the standard avionics suite, but an aftermarket upgrade to the Pro Line 21 Advanced offers LPV capability, FANS-1/A compliance, synthetic vision, enhanced weather radar, as well as other modern enhancements.
Just under six percent of the total Challenger 300 fleet is currently represented as being for sale. There are currently two Challenger 300’s under contract/deal pending. Ask prices vary across the diverse market, currently ranging from a low of just over $5M up to $14M on the highest end of the market.
